Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it’s all over.
Most people think that true friendship is measured by the stimulating conversation or how much you have in common, when actually it is how comfortable you are when there is no conversation. If the silence feels relaxed then you have yourself a true friend.
He’s more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.
